Dusty Boyd for Coryell County District Attorney 2012

I am excited to tell you of my recent filing for my candidacy for the 52nd Judicial District Attorney for Coryell County.  I have worked diligently for positive change in Coryell County through my civic and volunteer activities, as well as through my work as the criminal prosecutor in the Coryell County Attorney’s Office.   I now wish to bring new ideas and positive change to the District Attorney’s Office by bringing effective  prosecution of felony crimes in Coryell County.

Coryell County is faced with challenging problems. Central Texas is growing, and that growth has caused new stresses on our various judicial systems.   Our jail is at its capacity, our courts are busier than ever, and our law enforcement agencies are working more than any other time in history.   Never before has it been more important to have a District Attorney who has the vision and leadership who will lead the county into the future with regards to criminal prosecution.

After returning from Africa in 2008, where I served as a Judicial Advisor for the United Nations in peace keeping operations in Sudan, I took the role as the criminal prosecutor for the Coryell County Attorney’s Office.  Since then, I have effectively and efficiently pursued prosecution of crimes consistent with justice with great success.  I have built strong relationships with the public, law enforcement, victims, and attorneys alike.  I now desire to continue to build on those successes and relationships by serving as the next District Attorney for the 52nd Judicial District, Coryell County.

The Election has been set for Early Voting starting May 14- May 25, and the Primary Election for May 29!!
